Josiah told me last night that it was time I learned to build a Magic Deck, so I wasn’t just playing his. He makes the argument that, since we’re opening a game store that will have a large MTG crowd, it is time I learned more about playing the game. I guess he’s right. This morning when I woke up, he had left this video up on his computer for me to watch.
It does a good job explaining how to approach deck building. It will be helpful for any of our customers may be interested in beginning to play Magic the Gathering. I’ll give deck building a try sometime soon to see how much I retain from our teaching sessions. From what I gather, 21-24 lands is pretty common, and the proportions of the rest of the 60 can vary hugely.
